Halton techies head for the EBL Centre

PSIFX – Halton’s leading independent suppliers and repairers of computer equipment – has expanded into new premises at Runcorn’s Enterprise Business & Logistics Centre on Picow Farm Road.

Established in 2001 by co-directors Simon Beesley and Paul Thomas – the company now occupies a prime unit at the high-profile EBL Centre, which itself was officially opened by the mayor of Halton, Kath Loftus, late last year. PSIFX have purchased their new 1000 square feet premises and have designed the interior to incorporate offices, a workshop, storage and a spacious public sales counter.

“We decided on the EBL Centre for several important reasons,” says Paul Thomas. “Firstly we were rapidly running out of space at our previous premises in Lock Street. But also, here we will get more passing trade – with easy parking for customers – and the building is not only an investment for the future, but also reflects our own modern and progressive image.”

The PSIFX team of seven works alongside many schools and businesses in Halton and beyond, supplying and maintaining state-of-the-art IT equipment and accessories. But the company also caters for the public by offering all types of high-tech computer, communications and games equipment, as well as a comprehensive advice and repair service.

“We know we have to compete with the High Street big boys – especially in the current economic climate,” says Simon Beesley. “That’s why we offer a personal, professional and cost-effective service to all our clients. We go the extra mile for our customers, and that’s why they come back to us. And I’m sure our brand new premises will help attract even more business!”

Eddie Basnett, Chief Executive of the EBL Group who developed the new centre especially for the borough’s new and expanding small businesses, says: “PSIFX is a modern, go-ahead company with a great future – and we are delighted to welcome the team to the Enterprise Business & Logistics Centre.”
